The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and in particular to encourage and foster:
FIRST- The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
SECOND– High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
THIRD– The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal business and community;
FOURTH – The advancement of international understanding, goodwill and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
THE FOUR WAY TEST
Of the things we think, say or do:
Is it the truth?
Is it fair to all concerned?
Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

The Bathurst Regional Council launched the new sponsorship for the Bathurst Cycling Classic last week.
Tony Thurling is working hard behind the scene with the event organisers to make the weekend work. However, with so many the volunteers involved in the events, it makes it not just an event, but a great success! So please ensure you keep the weekend free and add your name to the volunteers list!
Two Rotarians you may know at the BMW Touring Club's Karuah River Rally last weekend. The site is at Frying Pan Creek camping area about 20 km north of Dungog. That's 400km from Bathurst and about 750km from the DG's home of Leeton.
