Pauline presented a synopsis of the Draft Community Plan

THE DRAFT BATHURST COMMUNITY STRATEGIC PLAN
2025 -2045
All documentation is available on Bathurst Regional Council's your Say
website.
Why is it important? Those of you who may still be here in 2025 to see the results, please throw a party to see if it passed the pub test.
Documents such as the Draft Community Strategic Plan evolve as each new council reviews and updates what has been achieved by the former council and builds on the next stage. Following the public review for this
draft which closed last week, it will be endorsed at a meeting on the 18th June.

Built on the 2040 Bathurst Community Engagement plan, the Community Strategic Plan outlines the community's priorities, vision and strategic directions for the future.
Some of you may have been involved in the workshop held in August last year or provided responses and ideas via the Your Say website,
council's Facebook Page, lnstagram and Linkedin. Feedback closed at 4pm yesterday.

The questions put included:

What do you love about Bx; e.g. sense of community

What are the challenges - population growth, infrastructure and services; housing, environmental sustainability and climate change,
natural disasters, cost of living and service delivery.

What would you like to see in the next 5-10 years
More than 2,800 took part in these activities and more than 6,000 ideas and suggestions between August last year and May 2025.
The final draft report includes a summary of all contributions to these questions as well as recommendation for future actions.
Council's planning and Reporting, of course, has to meet local govt, State and C'wealth agencies requirement

Hand in glove with the Strategic Plan is the Delivery Program and Operational Plan 2025 -2029 (DPOP) which identifies the following: -
Future Mator Projects 2025-2029:

- Storm Water harvesting Stage 2
- Adaptive Reuse Of the former TAFE site
- Gilmour Street, Hereford Street, and Marsden Lane Intersection Upgrade (Transport NSW)
- Hereford Street and Bridge replacement (Transport NSW)
- Mt Panorama Track Resurfacing
- Intersection between Stewart Street and Durham Street to improve traffic flow - (partnership with Transport NSW)
- City Bypass - on the southern side of town (discussions with State and Federal Govts)
- CBD Activation Concept Plans

BRC has received a grant under the Regional Precincts and partnership Program to develop concept plans to revitalise the Bathurst CBD
precinct including the TAFE precinct CMP and NSW Streets as Shared Spaces Stage 2 within the CBD.

I strongly encourage members to have a look at the wealth of information in the many planning documents on the BRC website for the
current planning as well as previous projects.
