RARE (Rotary Australia Repurposing Equipment) DIK
When Opportunity Knocks, Co-ordinated by Bathurst Daybreak,  members with assistance from Bathurst Club, spent a Saturday testing and recording an inventory of aged care medical item equipment that remained at the old St Catherines Aged Care facility in Bathurst.

The building and surrounding area is in for development.  A total of 80 electric beds, and a host of other medical items have been identified for repurposing and will be transported to the warehouse in Sydney in due course.

Service objective: “When Opportunity Knocks”. Rather than being structured as a traditional project RRR is a broad network of Rotary Clubs, Rotarians and community members who proactively support each other in providing humanitarian support to the less fortunate in our communities. RRR is not Club based but draws on the contacts, skills and talents of Rotarians across the board to identify unique opportunities to facilitate the provision of support as and when needed in the community.
